Please be reminded of the IEEE TT Section Annual General Meeting (AGM) which takes place on Saturday 8th February, 2014 from 9.00 to 11.00 a.m. at The University of West Indies, St Augustine (Room 103, 1st Floor, Block 1, Faculty of Engineering).

The IEEE TT Section will be conducting a training session for all executive officers on Saturday 8th February, 2014 after the AGM from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The intent of this session is to provide executive officers with the necessary tools, resources and other relevant information required to function in their respective positions. Kindly register your attendance early.

Technical seminar: Introduction to P&ID

The instructor for this event is Mr. Daleep Mohla – IEEE Fellow and Professional Engineer. Mr. Mohla is the owner & Principal Consulting Engineer with DCM Electrical Consulting Services, Inc. based in Missouri City, Texas. Mr. Mohla conducts NEC and NFPA 70E training, preparation and audit of electrical safety programs and facilities and also performs electrical forensic investigations. Mr. Mohla has been dedicated to developing safer equipment and promoting safety standards over the past 25 years.
Fee is inclusive of course material, lunch and refreshment.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Region 9 (R9 – Latin America and the Caribbean), Regional Meeting (RM) is an annual administrative meeting hosted within R9 by one of its 33 IEEE Member and Geographic Activities (MGA) Sections. As one of these sections, the IEEE Trinidad and Tobago (IEEETT) Section has submitted a successful bid to host this prestigious event during 02-05 March 2016 at the Trinidad Hilton and Conference Centre. The 85 plus participants at this high-level, strategic meeting (RM2016) include the 33 IEEE MGA Regional Section Chairs, IEEE R9 Executive Committee Members and Council Chairs. These participants represent influential and key decision making technocrats from the regional engineering fraternity including industry, government and academia as well as specially invited IEEE officers and guests.
The IEEE Trinidad and Tobago Section in Collaboration with the IEEE Young Professionals Group are hosting their 1st Annual Business Etiquette Workshop to be held.

Time: 8 am to 3 pm.
Venue: Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards facility
Conducting this workshop is Protocol Trainer Judith Derby whose expertise is applied in governmental institutions and state events.
This workshop will elaborate on accepted protocols and etiquette as it relates to the domain of business. The learning outcomes are:

The Industrial Engineering Office and The Office of MSc Project Management Programme of The University of the West Indies (UWI) are organising the PS01-2018 (Free) Public Seminar on “Project Review of the Brian Lara Cricketing Academy”, in collaboration with the Technology & Engineering Management Society (TEMS) Chapter and the Education Society (EdS) Chapter of the IEEE Trinidad & Tobago Section. The Seminar is supported by the Society of Caribbean Industrial Engineers (SCIE), The IET Local Network, Trinidad and Tobago, and The American Society for Quality Local Member Committee (ASQ-LMC), Trinidad and Tobago.
This seminar will be held at Room 101, Faculty of Engineering Building Block 1, from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon on Saturday 27th January 2018.

This seminar is to provide a project review of the Academy. It would highlight the impact of the project management on the national landscape from a project quality perspective. The core aspects of 1) Project Governance, 2) Contract Management, and 3) Quality Project Execution, would be addressed. Target audiences are executives, managers, engineers, industry practitioners, academics, students and people who are interested in the Seminar’s theme.
